We are using BROWSE command to take input data in a Form ( Screen ). We are using 'Preference' clause to store the column width of each field ( The user can himself change the width )

After few days, the Preference record in FoxUser.dbf corrupts & all validation stops ( Field & record level both )

We have to delete the record in FoxUser & adjust column widths again.

What could be the possible reason ?
