Well. Yes... if my theory is true. Where would the Canadian gov't get the money to pay the US drug companies up front? The answer is obvious, it's from you, the normal everyday Canadians. Then if/when you need the drug you buy them from your local drug store at a "discounted" price.

I think the bad part of this is that, again if my theory is true, you may be paying (through taxes) for drugs you'll never use or need.

But really. I'm not an expert on this and have not done research on this matter. I'm just thinking how it would work if I was running a "national" health system that covers all the people of a country. Am I making sense?
