Hi jay,

>The real question is, what is your basis for this accusation?

See my response to John. First of all it is a FACT that he did not earn his place on universaty [His prestations were too poor]. His father used its power to get hik on that university [I can't remember which one though]. He was addicted to alcohol and drugs [Again a fact he addmitted himself].

>You are very muddled in your thinking if you believe that a person can get to be president without being both intelligent and not ultimately in charge.

The Bush' family is very powerfull. It began with his grandfather who was a governer. He probably was intelligent enough. Because of his position he had the power to place his son G.W. Bush sr into a position he could become a president. Only because of this G.W. bush jr. was able to get it to president. If you simply look at the facts you see that there is some inheritance up here. Can you explain why a not so intelligent man can become a president?

Lets go back to Ronald Reagan.. Was he a very intelligent man? No he was not. He had charisma had a quick mouth and was surrounded by the right people. He was an example of a very good president IMO. He always has admitted that his power was the team behind him. The irony is that with the entrance of Bush jr., bush's defence in his shortage of intelect was that this should not be a burden to his functioning as a president as he referred to Ronald Reagan as the ultimate example [Again a fact, I heard him say this]. There is however a big difference between Ronald Reagan and G.W. Bush jr.

>Even Kerry - if by some oversight by God he should get elected - is very intelligent and would be "first man" as you put it.

First of all. I'm not that charmed of Kerry either, Clinton was a far better (and wise) one. But don't make any illusions of the democrats either. If he is elected as a president, he also has limited power in what he can do and say as a president, but at least he seems to be more intelligent and more able to lead your country.

Don't forget, that I'm neither a republican or democrat. I'm not going to be influence by that fact. I have an advantage in that over many americans that have something to say about politics..
