This was just covered this past weekend at the Southwest Fox conference by Doug Henning. Since VFP9 is very extensible, you are provided the source code and are free to add whatever you need to "do-it-yourself".
>The VFP9 beta supports "Multiple Selection" in the report designer. However, the only things that can be set for all the objects that are selected are the "Print When" and the "Protection" level.

>Why can't other properties such as the Font or Text alignment be set using this new "Multiple Selection" dialog?

>However, if I select multiple objects and then click the VFP "Format" menu, I can then set the font and or text alignment for each selected object at the same time.

>What is the purpose of the "Multiple Selection" dialog when it doesn't allow you to set properties that you could in previous version of VFP using the Format menu.

>It seems inconsistent. For setting the font and text alignment for multiple text boxes, highlight all the text boxes then click on the format menu, etc... But to set the protection level and Print When property for multiple text boxes, highlight all the text boxes then right click and choose properties.
