However, Cheney is no less qualified for his position as V.P. than any other V.P. in the recent past. However, you now ask should they be running the war? No they should not be directly running the war - the Generals should be doing that. In my opinion, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz are the primary problems and need to go.

Your last sentence is pretty damed critical... everything I've heard and read, including a Frontline episode last night, tells me that there would have been no war in Iraq were it not for Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld. At least not the war that happened, in the way that it happened, when it happened.
These boys and their cabal buddies are the real problem vis-a-vis the image of the U.S. abroad and the idea that President Bush is a puppet with others pulling the strings. They 'won' the internal battle and look what the President got!
