General Thomas McInerney agreed,as did General Stan McChrystal, General William Wallace, and so did Marine General Peter Pace. The latter two wanted to wait only 2 more weeks for more troops to arrive. General Wesley Clark and General Hoar believed strongly in the right of the U.S. to act unilaterally to defend its interests but those two wanted to wait for more evidence of an iminent threat.
