The behaviour you describe is typical even if if this table has an rushmore-optimizable index but the form tries to set the focus on a grid. If you are working on a form / page with a grid bound to that table, experiment a little to verify. Try setting the focus to another control, or even better [for test purposes only] delete the grid from the form and compare the start times then.

Another (only rarely encountered) possibility is having different filters on the same tale opened again in the same datasession.

You should give more information about your form / tables / dataenvironment: there are too many posibilities we cannot know about.
