Yes but Bush is not a pretender. He is what he is, a regular man with money.

Kerry I think pretends to be a common man, but he isn't. IMO, he went to Vietnam for his political ambition and he married for money. He wants to be liked by the world community. Thus, in debates he kept talking about his policies passing the "GLOBAL TEST".
The world certainly doesn't have the best for US in mind... I think very unfortunate, because US is by far the biggest humanitarian contributor in the world.


Bush on the other hand don't care about how the rest of the world thinks of him as nearly as much. He makes decision base on his convictions, which sometimes gets him in trouble with the public. He married a common school teacher/librarian and seems to be an ordinary man for the most part. When he was the owner of the Texas Rangers Baseball team, he would sit on the bleachers with the other fans, even in the rain. I don't want to steal one of Kerry's line, but "I was there" at one of the games about 5 rows behind him. ;)
