Why are you concerned about the weather? You're not made of sugar, are you? Liverpool and London will still be there, even in a blizzard (which we very rarely get in England). Or has the sun gotta shine for you to appreciate a town? :-)
I was in Boston in the Fall and found it very humid and uncomfortable, but there wasn't that much sun. England's weather is generally comfortable - we don't need a/c in the Summer for instance.
