After upgrading to VFP 8 SP1 (from VFP 7 SP 1), I have at least two clients getting an error 2072 (Cursor cannot be modified because it contains an unsaved record). This bug is not even documented in the VFP help file. It's "documented" on the Fox Wiki, but only to state that it happens. It seems to occur on views being displayed in a grid. The only workaround I have seen is that someone suggested saving prior to inserting records. Well, that's not workable. I need to be able to give my users the ability to save or cancel a tranaction as a whole and this "workaround" prevents that. The reports I have seen on this do not mention whether they reported it to MS, which I'd like to do right away if it hasn't been. This is an intermittent error, but still a bothersome one. Anybody know how to avoid this error?
