Patrik, I can't recommend a framework, but I can tell you that using a commercial one will not save you "sometime", it will save you "tons of time".
You will have to devote a year or more of your time to build it.
Consider that not only you have to build all the Forms (UI)->business objects, and business objects->datawarehouse relations, which is a big task, but you will have to develop several "managers" such as:
- Forms manager
- Configuration manager
- Security manager
- Application codes manager
- Reports manager
- Output manager (the way to send reports to printers, preview, excel, PDF, HTML, email, ...)
- Databases updates and repairs manager
- Error manager
- User Interface messages manager
This is not a comprehensive list, but gives you an idea of the amount of work a framework involves.
Developing a framework is not "only" deloping business objects and data access clases. It is a major project, so that the application developer can deliver a product ready to be used by the end user without worring about puting pieces together.
