In my opinion, what you should have done, is specifically asked the individual members who were still using the old mode whether they have tried virtual mode (and if not whether they'd be willing to give it a try), or whether they preferred to use the old mode.

Seems to me that there are still plenty of us who prefer to use the old mode. I just don't see why you took that functionality away from us.

I think the idea expressed in my other reply would fit that need. The secondary forum set definition with another button to retrieve new messages for the other forums could do.
