Michel, this sounds good, maybe have the ability to set which forums that show right away. Then have a button link to view other forums.

Because i like to lurk in the SQl server, VFP, Internet. I don't want to see these threads all the time though.

>Presently, we have a forum participation definition. This is the list of forums a member wishes to be bound to. This applies to all options. Despite the fact that for most members, they want that definition to be bound to all options they are using, for some, as you and a few others, you would like to have only one or a subset of forums to be bound for reading new messages. So, by having another forum set for reading new messages, it means you would be able to only retrieve new messages from one or a multiple forums but would still preserve the ability to Time Warp, Search, Calendar, Report, etc., for all other forums you have selected.

>While this approach would serve for most of the concern, it wouldn't serve for reading new messages, occasionnaly for the other forums you are participating. For that need, we could also add another button, for example, which would trigger the reading of new messages on the other forums.
