Slaves built alot of the new country and indentured servents and undocumented workers after that. You are only here because some one came from 'outside' for various reasons and brought part of who they were to the mix. As long as we try to tell every one else in the world community how they must behave, we should listen to those who would tell us the same. We might even learn something.

Gee, I think I studied some of that stuff you are talking about somewhere? I'm aware of how I got here and how the country came about as well, but when it comes to foreigners telling us how our country should be run, that's a bit much. They should look at their own country. I like ours the way it is, warts and all!
