Just a couple of points here...

Yes, as you've already been told, the dialog is extensible, so do what you like, including repeating native functionality already available to you <s>.

However, what was put in there as a "base state" has functionality you *don't* get in the native dialogs and menus, unlike Formatting.

Think about this:

* -- it's even-more-possible-than-ever to position report layout elements off-page, either on purpose, or because you use the Builder's absolute positioning carelessly, or because you positioned a "short" object under a band separator with cursor keys, or because you add columns to a layout after adding elements at various positions in a band. By using Ctrl-A to select all elements, or shift-doubleclicking on a band to select all elements in a band, you can check the dialog for what you actually have in the report.

There is no native way to find such layout elements otherwise <s>.

You can bring up the properties dialog (did you realize this? I can't tell) for any object in that dialog to fix it.

* -- Making a consistent change to all the Print Whens for the elements in a report or a single band or for (say) all shapes is quite a common task. Once again there is no native way to do it.
