SOLUTION !
Ok it often takes a beginner to release how we over look the simplest of things.
The reason why the mainform would would flash and go away again was.... Wait for it....
THE MAINFORM WAS SET AS THE MAIN ITEM ! I changed the main.prg to be set as SET AS MAIN option (i know you would of thought that since i called it main.prg i would of relised ! ) Thanks for all those that helped on the matter.
