Thanks Rick, that works. The reason I am pulling the data that way is that the file is fixed width fields with no record delimiters, meaning every next 80 characters is a record. Seemed like the easiest way to manage that then was to read each record out the way a ReadLine() would by grabbing each next set of 80.

Are you thinking of a different approach?
