I've had the problem when I was testing a method to put a grid in Excel. There were many exec.exe's during the test.


Have look with the taskmanager and sort the processes in ascending/descending sequence. How many Winword.exe's are there ?

Kill them all and see whether it fixes the problem. I'm not sure that is the cause, but it's worth trying though
