>>It seems with these changes, when I expand a Forum node, EVERY child node under EVERY thread is also expanded. I can' find in the setup [PUTM or general] where I can turn this off. I do not care either way whether I need to expand a forum node or not upon UT entry. I kind of like them collapsed. But I do want upon expansion of a forum node, is the expansion of all the category nodes, but NO expansion of all the child thread nodes. Is there a way to set this now? TIA

>Yes, from what I understood, people wanted to have per forum auto expand ability. The problem was mostly visual where they didn't want the branches of a specific forum to be opened. But, the data is there. So, as soon as one is opened, it was opened entirely. But, that can also be another checkbox in the list to go one step at a time instead of a full expansion.

I have since found in the Forums setup that if I check the Expand box, I get the exact behavior I want. Each forum node is expanded but the message child nodes are not. Although it would be nice to not expand ALL when a collapsed forum node is expanded. Just expand the category nodes to display the thread beneath each category.
