Another point or two.
The angle does not look too severe. The Space Needle is quite tall, so it looks like the photographer had to be elevated some. Also, my wife tried taking pictures as well, and with all the city lights reflecting off the clouds and sky, the sky still turned out pitch black as in the Seattle picture. I still told her taking the pictures was useless with our camera because the moon would just look like a small white dot. on a black background (which it did).
As for amount of darkness, since Seattle is further north than we are, the get darker before we do at 630pm.
At worst, I think the picture of the eclipsed moon is real, but, in the context of the Space Needle, I have my doubts as well that both were taken during the same exposure.
