I wouldn't call it a fake. More like "artistic license"{g}

You are correct. Notice also that the moon is correctly exposed as is the Space Needle.
I took some pics of the eclipse myself. Had a hard time exposing correctly and had to bracket a lot. There is no way I could've exposed both pbjects as beautifully as in that photo.

Also the angle to catch both, seems suspect. Yep. It's doctored.
