>OK, I've found the weird behavior ... if I click on the new refresh icon next to a forum (say, the Chatter forum), then the New Messages in the ToolBar immediately changes to (it looks like) the number of messages that were in the Chatter forum. It appears to the user that they suddenly have X new messages in their forum of choice, when in fact they don't. This obviously should not be happening.

Thanks, I have completed the update for that specific condition as well. This count should be ok now.
