Chris,

I've never indicated that I believe that Florida was "stolen".

First, the Supreme Court's decision was based on the Constitution which says the result of the Electoral College vote must be completed by Dec. 16th (or 18th, I'm not quite sure which) and that there was insufficient time to do the recount.

Now the Constitution was written back in a day where such information took days to be transferred. Now, and in 2000, it happens almost instantly. Would any harm have been done if the court had said, "Get it right"? No, the recount would have certainly been completed well before mid-January.

Second, the Florida Supreme Court basically agreed with this in ordering the recount Remember, BTW, who's brother is the governor of Florida.

Bottom line, we didn't know who won and still don't.
George
