I think Kerry and the rest of the politicos believed what was being fed to them by Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. They believed in their leader out of respect for his position as President - is that such a bad thing to do?

When their leader was proven wrong (i.e. no WMD found), they then said it was the wrong thing to do (i.e. invade Iraq).

Don't most sensible people believe that a person has the right to change their mind given that evidence has been put forth that supports their point of "changed" point of view?
