>>>You have a point. However, I think anytime we are attacked we come together. You can say anything you want about us, but if you attack us MOST of us will be on the same side.
>>
>>The same could be said of any country I think. Look at Iraq - according to the PBS show about Dick Rumsfeld last week - initially about 50% of their people initially viewed the U.S as liberators - that figure is now less than 2% - which would explain the ever expanding death toll os U.S. troops.

>>So, it now appears that most of Iraq - including the terrorists who like to remove people from their heads - are on the same side. And that is scary.

>Well, you have to remember this is a country that has been controlled by a violent dictator for a long time. They don't really know much about democracy. I too would like to see us out of there as soon as possible, but not until their government is up and running (after their elections). It may take a few more years to make this happen though.

>I think as the country normalizes, the population will have a better opinion of the US.

For the sake of all my American friends, I hope you're right. However, I believe that as a result of the war on Iraq. there are more "terrorists" with hatred of the U.S. than existed before 911. I hope I'm wrong about that.
