No matter who wins, pressure groups from the left will be pulling the Dems and from the right will be pulling the Reps. I don't know if the country can still be governed from the sensible middle. I don't see either party as representing my beliefs.

Sounds like you've giving up! We have to fight the good fight! Write yourself in before you vote for someone you do not believe will be good for you family or our country - it is "OUR" country - don't forget that! We can take these guys down anytime - there are 200 Million of us and just a handfull of them!:)

I guess the thing that disturbs me most, is that I really do not believe Kerry has a core and therefore I do not think I can predict with any reliability what he will do.
Bush lied to us. His lies have killed 100K Iraqi and 1200 US. Clinton lied about sex - no one was killed - and he was prosecuted. Besides we were all happy and making money with Billy. Now we're scared about everything.

Simple rule of thumb - avoid the guy that preaches fear.

Sure - lot's of negatives for Kerry - but he has not told a lie that has killed anyone yet. Dubya has - you can google war crimes - and you will see briefs to have his papa prosecuted and you will find petitions to have Dubya prosecuted.

In my opinion both Bushes are guilty of war crimes on a scale of over 100K innocent deaths each.
