Strange... I'd regard communism as left and liberals as beeing right (though I fully understand that liberals here in holland are different from liberals in the US). Communism would mean health care for free. Everyone is equal. No (major) difference in income. Seeing that 90% of the national income in the US is earned by only 10% of their citizens, and the government is supporting the rich by lowering (or at least not increasing) the taxes I could draw that conclusion. By my standards there is not more space to go the the right of where the republicans stand right now or you'll enter the area of extreme right of discrimination of ethnic groups, religion and political choice.
