Thanks for answering. How do you share a connection? When I created them, I didn't see a means of sharing connections.

If I understand the connection string properly, it lookS like this:
nVal = SQLCONNECT( 'MS Access 97 Database','Admin','Access' )

This is how the connection is defined:
CREATE CONNECTION Access DATASOURCE 'MS Access 97 Database' DATABASE c:\temp.mdb

I leave the advanced settings as they are.
