Thats funny. No one called me to get my vote.

Oh yeah I live in Texas. Democrats won't waste their time and money and the Republicans don't have to.

>That is one of my pet peeves. In the last week I have received at least two phone calls a day from both the Republican and the Democrat parties. I also received one phone call from the Green party and none from the Libertarian party or constitution party, etc. All left long messages on my answering machine while I was at work. The Republicans and Dems also called late at night to reach me in person. All to get me to vote for their party/their candidate. I told them both that if I didn't have any idea who I was going to vote for by now I had no business voting. I informed them that I knew exactly who I was going to vote for and no political posturing in the 12th hour would change that. I also asked them to put me on their do not call list because all of these calls came while I am on the national do not call list. It appears that political parties are exempt... Nothing bothers me more than to be called by a party volunteer who knows less about their candidates voting history
>than I do. The first couple of phone calls I will educate the caller on their candidates voting history and historical positions on many issues. It becomes quite clear that they are not trained to 'leave the script.' After the first couple of phone calls though it becomes nothing except a nuisance. The possibility that phone calls and phone advertising could actually 'sway' a person to vote is quite scary. It is very easy to twist a person's voting record to reflect what you want it to show and that can be very misleading.

>>>>I've seen enough of the outtakes to know it's drivel and MM is just a big fat socialistic liar. As for doing something, I am. I have been running a 4 line autodialer since last week calling all known "R" voters in my county telling them to either voter for Bush in early voting or tomorrow. I even used VFP to take the addresses from the voters list then navigate to smartpages.com and get the phone numbers for those addresses!(VFP is a Republican Tool!) The system calls 600 people an hour and runs 12 hours a day. How's that for "DOING SOMETHING"

>>>You should write an article on that - it sounds like a pretty clever system. I would read it cover to cover!
