>That is one of my pet peeves. In the last week I have received at least two phone calls a day from both the Republican and the Democrat parties. I also received one phone call from the Green party and none from the Libertarian party or constitution party, etc. All left long messages on my answering machine while I was at work. The Republicans and Dems also called late at night to reach me in person. All to get me to vote for their party/their candidate.

I agree and that's why my system leaves a message that runs less than 10 seconds. Something along the lines of, "this is a critical election year, be sure to help relect president Bush by voting Tuesday!" The goal is just to reemphasize the importance and I'm only calling registered Republicans. I think it would be a waste of my resources to call people who weren't registered or even worse - DEMOCRATS (God forbid)!

Here's something funny though, Sunday Bill Clinton, himself, called me and asked me to vote for some guy named Kerry!<vbg>
