I agree with Bonnie here. It's Cronkite. When he was on the air, year after year, polls showed him to be the "most trusted man in America". There is no reason to doubt this today.

Don't make any connections from Cronkite to Rather's recent faux paus. CBS pretty much shut Cronkite off after he left the air.
