Unecessary? I don't agree. Where were you on 9/11? Wether you agree as to the means of achieving an independent Iraq, a concept that scares the heck out of the regions dictators, it is still a lofty goal worthy of the effort. At which point we will largely be out of there. Quagmire of an election? I really think you refer to the Iraq war trying to make the case it's another Vietnam. Difference is that we actually have an exit strategy for Iraq - How long did we stay in Japan and Germany after WW2 - Oops, that's right, we're still there.<bg>

>I had to think for a while when I was watching a Chris Rock comedy special on HBO a couple months ago. He stated how one thing he hates is people who have made up their minds before hearing the issue. They decide x or y depending on which choice is the republican/democratic/conservative/liberal choice.
>
>He's 110% correct, and I think small minded people like John Harvey prove his point. This quamire that is our election tomorrow has nothing to do with republican/democratic. It has to do with taking our country back from someone who has a) sold the country to corporations b) taken us to an unecessary war that will last for a long, long time and will accomplish nothing other then to kills 1,000s.

>>>>Interesting. From my perspective I see the left going extremist left and the Republicans moving left to occupy the position the Democrats vacated. From my perspective there is no "Right" anymore of any consequence.
>>>
>>>Dang, dude where have you been? I've been the lone voice in this liberal wilderness. The only sane voice of reason!<vbg>

>>I've been following with interest. You've made the best arguments that a liberal can ignore.<vbg>
>>
>>The worldwide left-leaning media have done a pretty good job of brainwashing the masses. We'll see if they'll get their way by tomorrow night or Wednesday morning.
>>
>>Democrat, Republican, doesn't really matter. A friend of mine used to call them the Republicrats.
Regards,

Mike
