Oops - I'd forgotten about all that yobbo behaviour from them! Yeah "my honourable .." can actually mean "my most dishonourable ..." <g>

The point i was making was to refer to your opponent as "he" (jerking a thumb over the shoulder) when he's right there, and "My Kerry" wouldn't hurt, seemed to be very rude. But, i think you guys use the pronoun more than we do in polite speech.

And as for "...it has served England well for a long time..." - I'm not so sure about that. I think they would do well to sit and listen gracefully. The whole system's based on debate but no college debating society would tolerate such yahoo behaviour!

Ah well - let the less bad man win today! <g>

>I guess that's a cultural thing. I remember the first time I saw your parliment where they would yell, whistle, etc while someone was speaking. I thought, how rude, they are trying to drown the speaker out. Here we allow the speaker to make their point, then we give our counterpoint. In your parliment you also have to read the body language and catch the voice inflection when they are saying "my honourable . . . ", don't you? I'm not being critical of that process, it has served England well for a long time. I just thought it was different, at first, then as I watched more, it became entertaining!<g>
