Kerry's commanding officers and some of his crew say that he was not. They say he was stationed near the town of Sa Dec, 55 miles from the Cambodia border.
In fact Kerry recently retracted his own statement and now states that he was on a river near Cambodia and that he got the date wrong. He says he thinks he was there later on.
