I agree with you.
I was traveling back to Romania and I switched airplanes in Amsterdam.
There I got to chat with a group of dutch guys who were going to Romania to reeducate the gypsies. How? Well, they were building churches in rural areas and tried to attract gypsies to come to the church by giving them food, clothes, having them go to school etc. This is a great initiative.
Romania has the greatest number of gypsies in Europe. Romania is going to join UE in 2007(hopefully) and, none of th western european countries would lke to deal with a potential massive exodus of gypsies, based on a previous experience.
"Should not blame the group for individual".
Well, I was switching planes in Frankfurt..The romanian airplane just landed that a nasty obersturmba..cop:) open the door and inspected everyones papers, shouting etc.. I was treated like ....although I look more german than a german guy.
Not to mention that while in Romania, I wanted to get my transit visa for Frankfurt, and I had to postone 3 flights (an extra week) because the german embassy wanted to check whether I "really" live in US
,despite showing them green card, credit cars, driver license.
