I have a data replication utility that opens tables and does a "copy to" command to create duplicates. (Yes I am aware I could get orphaned or mismatched data, but this is an "emergency" data copy for a client that can not close systems down).

My problem is that I can not find a way to copy the database (DBC) itself. I can not do a "COPY FILE" on a database that is in use and USE .dbc, COPY TO does not produce a valid database.

Anyone know a way around this?
