Lee, My solution to this, it works, but I'm not quite sure it is 'VFP compliant', is to create a cursor structured like your view, append a few blank records and tie this to the grid. I update the the underlying tables in batch, by copying the cursor information to the ad hoc tables. It works, it may not be the easiest way. Marc
