If you w= ant to get 'picky' there is always the Format property in the properties = Data Tab that you can set. >=20 > HTH, > Tom Tom, The Data source will limit the number of characters that are saved allright to the table or in memory, but will not limit the number of characters that a user can enter in the textbox, thus giving him a false impression. The Maskit method described in Foxpro Advisor of this month really solves this problem very neatly. Marc
