sorry for the delay in the response. I was out of town for several days and just checked now.

FILENAME=globalTempPath+"MEM"+LEFT(MJOBNUM,5)+".BMB"

and then we use lines like "copy to (filename)" and "use (filename) alias WHATEVER"

works very well for us.
