If the team involved in the hunt had nothing to do with the elections, why would elections being over change anything?

By the same reasoning you're using, if I threw a stone at a window and after the stone leaves my hand I twist my face it will change direction and not hit the window. Let me explain myself: Bush ordered his capture and he's overseeing the operation from far above. The people in charge of the operation already have their orders and are trying their best to fulfill them. It's out of the president's hands. Maybe, like the joke said some time ago, we should have Blockbuster looking for bin laden.

Bush hasn't been busy with the election for the past 3 years. His going back to his weekly meetings, won't necessarily change his luck with this issue. Even if he met with the team in charge of this every day, that wouldn't change things.

For what it's worth, I don't think that Bin Laden will be caught, regardless of who's living in the white house. I just think it's a pity that so many thousand troops are risking their lives for something that should be done by the intelligence community with just a handful of people.

Now that the election is over, he will have the time to hold those WEEKLY meetings with the people who are in direct control of the operations and he can decide if they are going in the right direction, or if he needs to put someone else in there. Any fool knows the president isn't out hunting terrorists! Give me a break.
