I appreciate it. I'll post how this all ends - it may be just as you suggest. I guess that this is one of three "new" machines so someone may have activated 2005 after 2004 and pooched the installation. I'm having them reinstall Word (at Marcia's suggestion) to get them back running again. Hopefully, they'll report back sometime tomorrow.
