I am using Windows XP and I am wondering if the style of the controls I am using is dependant on the OS or if that was the case for previous OS.

Basically, either in VFP or in the Web page, I have found that a textbox control is having about 5 pixels of wasted space above and below the text that we type in. Is there a way to gain some spacing in there? Basically, I would say that 3 pixels would be more than enough to have a good visual reading of the text in such a control. The same is true for a combo box control.
