As for the age of the earth, I don't know how old it is, I wasn't around. As for it being (in my best Carl Pagan voice) Billions of years old, I don't know about that. If you want me to get into Christian apologetics, I can do that. . . but don't hold me up as the example because I'll fail each and every time!

You could google it like the mouse shadow question!

But me thinks you is having a little conflict there John - if you like I can try to de-program you:-). They used to have special consultants for that kind of work in the 80's. Does about 4 Billion years, plus or minus 500 million years, sound right for the age of earth?

I still love you John - we'll work through this - if you fill a panic attack coming, in your mind, click your hills together three times and say over and over:
"There's no place like home"
"There's no place like home"
Then mentally repeat this mantra 100 times:
Rin a tin tin
Rin a tin tin
Rin a tin tin tin

Can't you see the mind control at work here? If than can get you to accept one false hood (like the creationistic rather than geological age of the earth), how many other, possibly dangerous false hoods could they make you accept? And the they teach you concepts like "Christian Appolgetics" to use when you are confronted with a created reality that doesn't jive with physical reality. That is mind control John (ain't it?) - not the philosiphies' of our great ancient teachers, Can't you see it?

How to you reconcile that? I bet there's a little mantra or chant you learned to help you with these kinds of confrontations. Is there?

It just seems strange for a geek (a true geek as you) to have two realities?

But I still love you - and you're talking to the something of a someone that will be nothing more than fossilized worm poop in a couple of years - and dang proud of it!
