>Do they teach eveolution? How long ago does your Baptist school teach that dinosaurs passed from extinction? How old is earth?

I usually respect you, Terry, but that is just an ignorant point to try and make. I could ask why the public schools don't teach all religious doctrines. It's a private school. A religeous private school. Would you really expect them to teach evolution?

>Private schools can develop their own curriculum, they can teach to the test.

I have no idea what this means. The acheivment tests are federal and state standardized. Same ones the public schools take.

>If they don't teach evolution, or that dinosaurs roamed the earth 100 million years ago, in my opinion their teaching creationism, not science - and if they are more competitive than public schools its because their corriculum is not regulated. If it was a non-religious private school, or a jewish school - then maybe I would say great place to go to school. But if the schools don't teach natural science, then they're teaching fundalmentalism - and can spend as much time as they need teaching students to pass the test.

Again, I have no idea what you are talking about regarding the tests.

>Beside N Carolaina is near the bottom in grauduation rates (42ed) so the state seems like it ignores public schools.

I never said she lived in North Carolina, but I understand your confusion.

>Public schools have to teach a general corriculum - they can't devote academics to standardized tests. They have to teach natural science (a lot of memorizing) - and read existential novels!

So, you truly believe that that one aspect as where all the time is lost? C'mon, Terry, even you must know better than that.

>When you have a chance, ask your children when the dinosaurs roamed the earth - if you return with around a 100 Million years ago - then I eat my words!

This seems to be you're only point. My post was very respectful and added a different perspective. I'm sorry you feel differently and seem to have taken it personally.
