To make changes persistent, make sure that VFP resource file (foxuser.dbf by default) is enbled by going to Tools -> Options -> File Locations -> Resource File.
Right click on the command window titlebar and uncheck 'Dockable', if you want it to behave as in previous versions. You can do the same for the Propertie Sheet window also.
