I've now got a different situation, but on the same theme. I've got a bizobj on a form, where the main purpose of the BO is to be a child of another BO, and use a view parameterized on the id of the parent. But, when the form instantiates, I want to see if a flag in the child table is set for ANY record (not just those few linked to a particular parent), and if so, (at the user's option) reset all the flags. That sounds like it _should_ be two views, both somehow running off the same BO.

However, I can see how I can use the one view, with a flag to indicate whether to use the parameter or just get all records. (lGetAllflag = .T. OR whatever = ?parameter)

Is there a feeling/consensus as to which is preferred?

Thanks,
June
