Exit polls are typically conducted by the media but are always conducted as voters leave the polls. When I left the voting building I was asked in 2000 who I voted for and I lied and said "Nader!" Those are not scientific and depend entirely on the voter wanting to reveal who they voted for and being honest. They shouldn't be relied on anyway. They have nothing to do with who won the election and most people know they are not reliable. Also, the studies I've read stated that Gore won Florida statewide (not the counties selected for recount) and then only if overvotes were counted as legal in which case they never are but they do represent the voter's choice I believe personally. Bush still ended up with more votes than Gore in the counties Gore selected for recount and Bush would also have won had the limited statewide recount ordered by the Florida Supreme court continued.

>There is a growing concern being voiced in the independent media. It seems that for the last three elections (2000,2002 and 2004), for the first time in our history the tabulated results have not agreed with the exit polls.

>Eg the predicted Gore win on the news outlets, based on Exit polls, wwas correct - something happened. It happened again in 2002 and again this year. These are dark times for democracy in America. As Orwell offered in 1984, "The truth is a lie".

>Mind control hypnosis from the pulpits of fundalmental evangelical churches (we have some in Houston with names like "Victory Center" and "Eagles Nest") have enabled followers to accept untruthes (axioms that contradict the laws of nature).

>They have the followers denying physics. Ask a follower how old the earth is or when dinosaurs walked the planet. You will be both amazed and concerned.

>Once you get someone to accept a lie in the name of a diety, they will accept other lies in the name of the diety. They will also do the "diety's" "good" work. Unfortunately, some of the fundalmentalists work in state secretary offices and state election administration offices. When a "follower" denies democracy or franchise to a citizen they are not doing wrong they are doing the "diety's" work.

>I live in a cool neighborhood that surrounds a big [PGA TOur] golf course. But since I live in a cosmopolitian metropilis (Houston) where computer and oil reign, there are a lot of families with diverse ethnic backgrounds. We are used to and enjoy the variation in my hood. One could see a methodist walking the paths along the golf course with a Seikh or a Baptist with a Jew. We live in a delicious bouquet of humanity. We recognize our human similarities, and enjoy our cultural diversty.
