I am really impressed. You guys really know your military stuff. So thank you for this.

Now I do know something about SCUDS in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi TV reported when each SCUD was launched from Iraq against Saudi Arabia. It took 10 minutes for the SCUD to get there and they put the count down on TV. The idea was that the poeple were supposed to find shelter but instead they went into the streets to watch the Patriot missles go up. The Saudia Military paid $2 million for each Patriot. The Americans set each one up but the Saudi soldiers had to pull the trigger. When the first SCUD came in, they sent up 8 Patriots and it was a sight to see. After that the King said this was too much so they only put up 2 Patriots each time. Israel also used the Patriots and they did an extensive study that showed that the Patriots never actually worked. This was later coroborated by studies in the US. It turns out the SCUDS (made in China) actually disintegrated on reentry. Further it appears they had no war heads explosive or chemical. So what you had was the disentagrated metal landing on peoples rooves. I worked at Dhahran for 8 years (before the war) and I did hear from my Saudi friends about shrapnel landing near there but I didn't know anyone was killed.

The question I am now asking you guys is if you think it is still a good idea to embark on a missle shield across Canada to defend ourselves against these guys particularly when a war head could be brought in with a row boat pretty well undetected along the shores of Washington, Oregon and California (ref: Farenhiet 911 - Michael Moore).
