>I believe what the islamic fundamentalis is doing right now is just an extension of what they tried to do over thousand years ago, that is to convert the whole world to their believe and kill those that refuse/oppose them.

Hi Dean:

Actually Islamic fundamentalists usually stick to their own country. I don't think that Osama Bin Laden is an Islamic fundamentalist. I don't think he wants to convert America to the Muslim faith. I have stated elsewhere in this thread what bugs Osama.

The principles of the Holy Koran are pretty much the same as our Bible. They believe in the Old Testament and the 10 Commandments. Its just they they believe in Mohammed where we believe in Jesus. They were both good people and espoused the same principles.

The problem with the fundamentalists is that they interpret the Holy Koran is extreme ways. Like women shouldn't be educated or work or show their faces. Now when the US was funding the war for Iraq against Iran in the 80's, the concept of the "American Satan" arose. It wasn't because of the American women in short skirts. It was because American money was being used to kill their sons.

The war in Iraq is increasing the influence of the fundamentalists again.

I think if the Arabs could see the US more involved in peaceful ventures, the influence of the fundamentalists would be drastically reduced.
