Lots of accumulated inflation, I suppose. We had the same situation in 1985, here in Bolivia: after a tremendous inflation, the money changed: 1 million Pesos (the old currency) = 1 Boliviano (the new currency).
Now, our currency is relatively stable.

I think that yes, you can. If you say that you want "x" decimals, that only seems to specify the default presentation of the field. With a REPLACE command, for example, you can easily add more decimals than you had specified.
